My name is Denise Frenette and I've been in the health industry since 1991. I am a Natural Health Practitioner, Certified Iridologist and Health Coach.

As an Health Coach, I help people set goals and get organized in such a way that will increase productivity, encourage a healthier lifestyle and promote a sense of peace and satisfaction.

    What is Iridology?

    Iridology is an assessment technique that inspects the different structures of the Iris and how imbalances in these structures can represent different conditions in the body.

    When I first was studying to become a Natural Health Practitioner, I was very skeptical towards Iridology. I have now been practising as an Iridologist for over 12 years and I am constantly impressed with it's accuracy.

    The way it works is simply me looking into your eyes with a magnifying glass and a small flashlight.

    When clients come in for the consultation, I first do the iridology exam before knowing any of their health conditions. It is only once I have finished explaining the iridology findings that we go through a detailed health history.

    Iridology definitely is something worth trying. It's a good assessment tool that help detect abnormalities before they have a chance to develop into potential disease. It also helps to determine the best way to approach certain health conditions. A simple Iridology exam helps clarify what is wrong so that we can approach the issues dead on and not waste time wondering what is causing the negative symptoms you might be experiencing.

    Bio-Energy Nutrition is the study of the consumption and utilization of food substances by which growth, repair and maintenance of the body as a whole or any of its parts, are accomplished. It is the learning of the combining of these foods and its effects on the body in relation to its self-healing abilities.

    By combining Iridology, Bio-energy nutrition and good lifestyle coaching, you can look forward to better health and a more fulfilling life.

    Prenatal and Postnatal Massage

    Studies indicate that massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labour outcomes and newborn health.

    Massage therapy addresses different needs through varying techniques, one of which is called Swedish Massage, which aims to relax muscle tension and improve lymphatic and blood circulation through mild pressure applied to the muscle groups of the body. Swedish Massage is the recommended prenatal massage method during pregnancy because it addresses many common discomforts associated with the skeletal and circulatory changes brought on by hormone shifts during pregnancy.

    Pregnancy massages can help to:

    • decrease back pain and discomfort
    • reduce sciatic pain and sacro-iliac joint pain
    • reduce calf cramps and swelling in feet
    • decrease carpal tunnel symptoms and swelling in hands

    Hot Stone Massage

    This form of bodywork involves the combination of Massage techniques and the application of heated stones to different areas of the body. The stones are used in two ways during the treatment. One is to heat the body by placing the stones on the body in specific areas. The therapist will then simultaneously massage the client with oiled, heated stones, using firm strokes along the back, arms and legs.

    The stones are used as tools to deliver massage at a pressure that is most comfortable to the client. The treatments can be light, gentle or deep tissue depending on the clients needs and wants. The heat is very relaxing to the muscle tissue, increasing blood flow to the area being treated thus accelerating the healing process. In addition to its therapeutic uses, this massage therapy technique is ideal for neck and shoulder tension and dealing with stress.
